So tonight. It is like 11:30 and sM gives me a call.
"Hey you have the kids tonight."
"Yeah"
"Oh, well I'm going to go get drunk, I've had a shit night."
Well like having kids has ever stopped me in that situation. I tell him to come over and We'll drink rum until we are shitty and talk about what went wrong with his night.
Then I react. I sent text messages to Da. and Ja. Telling them to pray. And then sM gets to my house and I start to pour the rum and cokes. And not just rum, but The Sailor and coke. After working our way through roughly 1000 ml of Jerry we have moved from the recent unpleasant girl problems with sM to God, and drunk texting.
Then before my eyes he accidentally texts a young lady, and soon he is telling her to come to his home to have furious intercourse. And she says yes and starts driving.
Honestly. this is what 1% church is all about. Watching as your mates deal with the ups and the downs, the rising to the heights of philosophical glory, and the depths of getting as much action as they can. I'm willing to say, this is the kind of church I have always longed for.
If this isn't what the brotherhood of Christians is all about. The count me the fuck out.
This counts as my night SF. (I love you, I'm safe, this all happened at home, look what you have to deal with in the future).
Now it is time for sleep.
Because it went from 11:30 to 2:30 very quickly.
File under Vice.

Oh, and I need to add.... I got this surreal feeling when you wrote, "And then sM gets to my house and I start to pour the rum and cokes. And not just rum, but The Sailor and coke."
That is a visual of comfort. I feel like 1% is about service to your brotherhood. Any house you walk in should be made a home by the elements of Rum and Coke or a pint.
It says, you are welcome to be here. Please relax andtell me about your day.
Good, bad, pleasant or terrible.
Drink.
Un-Wind.
Let us sharpen the Iron.
I do my best to have an open home, and even to some people an open heart. It was a good time.
sM will not miss the next one. LOL!
